That's really great Mike. smile.gif

Jennie. That's an excellent choice for an OS X machine.

Jaguar will really take advantage of the Duals. smile.gif

Mike,

I'm not as envious of you getting a G5 as I am happy for you!  smile.gif That's not to say that I wouldn't mind one.  wink.gif

Have a lot of fun and give us the skinny on that pup as soon as you can.

BTW, the cookie maker is next to the cuda switch. ohmy.gif

I'm using it in the basement, so it might hurt a little when I hit that wall, but I shouldn't go too far wink.gif

I've been installing games and other stuff over the course of the night (very little sleep for me wink.gif ). And I decided to do a little test with uake 3. max settings at 1024x768 gives me 297 FPS. Every game I have tried so far runs smooth as silk.

Gotta go play some more biggrin.gif

10.2.7. I have a feeling Apple will give G5 buyers free upgrades to Panther, seeing as we had to wait forever to get our machines.

You can see my website for a quick list of first impressions. Of course, I'll be doing a review of it in the future, probably after I get my extra 512 MB from Crucial.

Some thing I noticed this afternoon. The front of the G5 is cold to the touch. The back is warmer, but not bad. I think the choice of aluminum alloy for the case was an excellent one. The air being pulled from the front will get cooled down even more due to the metal being so cool.

Don't hesitate to ask any more questions (I might not get to them today, as I'm going to a hockey game, but I'll answer them asap).

The CD door Mike.

I've noticed on the ones I've played around with in stores that they are not consistent as far as the noise it makes when sliding down out of site.
I'm also wondering if the sliding down instead of swiveling out could be a problem down the road.

Do you have to fasten a seat belt when you operate it ?? June

GM.
I know this poster on another board is off his rocker by making this statement.

there was a coupon inside the box for the Panther upgrade.

Fact is another poster later on called Apple and got the ((SAY WHAT?!? No such animal)) response. biggrin.gif

Just in case, check anyways. smile.gif
