As I had problems with TTP 4.0.1, I deleted it. I merely dragged the app and about 20 .plists to the Trash; and all was well.
Or so I thought. I saw on MFI that there is also an invisible file that should be deleted. And so that too was consigned to the Trash. I emptied the Trash normally and the Trash can appeared empty. But then I did a search on the invisible file I just deleted, and wouldn't ya know it? The Find indicated that TTP invisible file is still in the Trash.
It dawned on me to try the old Classic trick. I made a small text file and dragged that to Trash. Then, instead of doing a routine Empty, I went to Finder Menu Bar and did a "Secure Empty Trash." And this time the TTP invisible file was deleted.
Why a secure delete does a more thorough job (not just more secure) is a mystery to me. Perhaps others know.
