Very clean, modern look! Good job. Now that logo, is that choice A, E, C or what?        It came out quite nicely. The color scheme is excellent!

It seems to refresh slowly when I scroll. (NS 4.77) I'll see how Explorer does on Monday. The smallest text is difficult to read, but perhaps some tweaking of my settings will help. (I do have a vision exam scheduled for next Saturday!) Sorry if I'm the first to point out flaws. Most likely it's due to my settings.

Oh, and now I see that there is precious little difference in color of the topics I've visited and those I haven't. Sorry 'bout that, just being honest.

I'm glad to see that it's easy to find all the right buttons. I've experienced other BB transitions that took awhile to figure out what was going on. This layout is logical and familiar. That was a wise choice.

Don't change a thing! Very clean design/skin. Text size is larger, had to check to see if I had forgot to unzoom!    Very easy to read!

Thanks to all who put in some hours on this change! We all owe youse guys!

As I mentioned before, I really like the new look (great job, Kris), but I'm not sure if there's much difference in speed--which I thought was the original purpose of the change.

I particularly like the Active Button. If that was around before, I never noticed.
I'll make a bookmark for it.

Hey I go skinny-dipping in this California -Bernie- rain and you guys went changed the board on me. <gr>

Looks nice,clean,neat,keen-0-jet.

I see that tiny   is back.
Now how or who is going to be able to watch that pint size boob tube anyho?

First thing I did was zip to my 'profile' in case ....
The 'profile' button being in the middle of the other buttons is bit awkward.
Is there a way to slide the 'profile' button over (left) as the first?

Just bounced into 9 to check the difference for speed etc etc as Rob W pointed out about what the change was all about in the first place.

No different in either OS or the browsers I have.

Very well could be on my end though with the rain and all. Anytime it rains heavy (1/2 inch = So.Calif standards) the world stops rotating. <gr>

The cleanest (uncluttered,) pleasing forum I've yet seen.

The colours are easy on the eyes.

Wonderful job Kris.

Thank you.

Glad you all approve of the change.

To be quite honest, this is plan B.

We had attempted a move to totally new software that would have potentially speeded things up, however a direct conversion was not possible without losing our membership lists or the archives. We are still checking into other possibilities and will let you all know if we find something acceptable.

In the meanwhile we hope this will suffice.

Greg , I agree that there isn't a big difference in color as to visited/new links. There is a noticeable difference in colors depending on machine settings as you know. This theme looked quite a bit darker on my folks eMac, lighter on my 9600 and the tan looked almost purple on my PB.

Anyway, I can play with the color on the visited links if you all would like?

Hmm. I see the link to page 1 of this thread at the bottom of page 2, but I didn't see a link to page 2 at the bottom of page 1, and I looked three times. There is a link to page 2 at the top of page 1, but there ought to be one at the bottom. I think you could do without the one at the top. Maybe it's showing up at the bottom for others??

P.S. It also seems that there is a minimum amount of window "real estate" required for a post. Some of the one line posts take up more space than it looks like they would need to. Just an observation....

Audone, ya beat me to it! I was coming back to edit again and remove that bottom/top business. I discovered on another try that I had just not allowed enough time for the page to load. It is very slow on my connections today.

Greg  you are right about that minimum space thing.  We noticed it when we tested  but haven't bothered to try to change it, if it can be changed.
