I don't understand why Apple soldered in only 128MB of RAM into the 12" PB.

I didn't really expect you to jump on this.  

Seems to me if RAM was the big concern someone would just get a different Powerbook.

Maybe if it comes down to $200 or something.

Wonder what this means for other machines and RAM?

Suppose they were cutting costs kps.

They always seem to do something to aggravate people.

Quite frankly, kelly, I don't know what they were thinking..."cutting costs", maybe...generating additional revenue by selling memory upgrades, maybe...or Jag does such a good job at utilizing the graphic card's chips that it would actually run "okay" on 128MB??? Nah! That's why I maxed mine out at 640MB, that should keep me going until that 1GB chip is affordable.
