printing problem with AAR
« on: April 19, 2003, 10:05:00 PM »
I cannot print a PDF file I downloaded. I'm told I don't have enough memory, quit other applications. Nope. I can print from any other application I want to. I also increased the memory allocation to Acrobat Reader. I don't get it. (OS 9.2.2 / AAR 5.0)

P.S. I thought I had posted this problem before. I do clearly remember posting a topic called "Clumsy Acrobat" but my search came up empty. (Obviously,  I can't remember if there was a solution.) This was posted a short time after another topic of mine called "Picky Chooser" which I found in Year Two (June '02 I believe). Tried to find "Clumsy Acrobat" in Y2 and Y3 doing a subject only search, and entire message. I don't know why about half of my searches come up empty. And on this one, my memory is clear as a bell, but apparently just wrong.

Here's the file you were looking for, though it didn't have a definitive answer.

 klutzy acrobat

Where is the file coming from? The net? Email?

So much for my clear memory! I had the time frame about right though (8/02). I tried a search with just "Acrobat" also. Oh well! Seems like I printed a couple of IRS forms in PDF format since then...

The file I tried to print the other day was from a college web site. I opened it at work and it printed just fine. It is three pages, not terribly large! I have replaced AAR 4.0 with AAR 5.0 since the last episode.

I resolved it, but am not sure you will see this. It was a simple matter of updating to 5.1 (from 5.0). Who'd a thunk it? Now the question is whether it's a permanent fix, or just fleeting. I've only printed one page one time so far.
