The framework of TS limits the topics and activity, so unless your a MacGuy/Gal, or a funny sort of writer, OT’s, reading is all you can do. Reading & writing is time consuming and it captures to much of your attention. If your life is already full of activity and you don’t have a problem with your Mac, and your not looking for one, you build the Mac to your needs, and when it works you leave it alone.
The time will come when your Mac will work like your Refrigerator, can you imagine having a BB on a ready for the public technology, telling jokes about Maytag and upgrading your ice cube trays?
The BB’s are sorta kinda like a call-in radio show, most folks listen and some have two phones. Time spent listening is shared with other tasks mostly, ears don’t seem to get in the way like eyes do. If a guy like me is waiting for his ears to hear something, (phone) then his eyes and fingers can go about doing stuff while his ears are working. But for the most part folks are working with their eyes and hands, leaving their ears just sticking out there surfing the air waves. There's a brain in there somewhere, but that's an OffTopic topic.
The future will have ViaVoice and audio, so if you need to read it or listen to it, speak it or speech to type it, the option will be there =ing More activity.
Around 2006 you’ll be cruising in your Beemer/Caddy/Krusemobile and stop-in at TS, you can control the browser with audible signals, it’s can read to you anything posted, you can respond verbally and it will type what you say. This is where the internet is going, where you can take a picture on the highway and send it via satellite anywhere you choose. Talk about it, and your words will magically write out what you say. Ask a guy like the Surfmeister to find info about your next stop, your next meeting, the people, places, weather, hazards, everyday info that you may lack the time to find.
TS will be like a laid back Mac-cyber coffee shop, (Ok, Tea is and option) you wouldn’t want to stand in line, now would ya?
