Printer Solution: Print Center Repair

Print Center Repair- Mac Update Download Page

I fixed my printer with the program Print Center Repair. It was unbelievably easy. It solves the most common printer problems with Jaguar. The program is simple: it has a main window (view in the 1st link I pasted above) with 7 different programs you can run by clicking the proper button (you identify which is the proper button by reading the readme file; for example, my printer error was 1282, and the readme file very clearly showed me that "Repair Spool Directory" was the program I needed to run). All I did was click the button, and presto!, my printer was added the next time I opened print center.

I wanted to give the programmer some PR on the board, so I gave his program its own thread. He was great. MY disk copy wasn't properly expanding the .dmg file, so I emailed him my problem, and he emailed me back within 12 hours with an attachment of a .sit file so I wouldn't have to use disk copy: very cool on his part. So I thought I'd do him a favor in return.
