Ops....D76... I'll get back to you soon. wink.gif
<edit>
That error message is one that lets you know there was a problem with the SQL  database.  It probably saw that the database process went down, and did not allow any recovery time.

The process is corrected by the servers automated script, even if it's a Invision software issue, but it takes time, you just caught it at the right moment. wink.gif

That error is different than others that I've received, less frequently seen.

There may be a bad file or odd code in a skin, I'll need to check with Krissel and/or  Jen to see if there might be something being generated.

Yesterday afternoon, I got a 'timed out' message when posting a response to a thread. I just went to another thread and made a posting there. By the time I hit the 'send epistle/Add Reply' button, the load on the servers had decreased and it went right through. Went back to the tab with the 'timed out' message, hit "Try again" and it went through as expected.

Except for messages from the php software that shouldn't come to the user, most of the others seem to be related to the load on the servers. Since I visit very few other boards, except a commercial one ( MFI ), I don't really have any experience to compare with the service we get from ASO. Our church site is hosted on a 'shared' system, but I have no idea how busy they really are.

The frustrating part is that the service failures are so inconsistent: Post a reply, fast edit, try another edit and it hangs! Have a fast edit hung right now with no editing windows showing yet. I was actually surprised that I was able to open another thread. We'll see if this gets posted...

A new oddity with the What OS are you using? thread.

Here's the thread info from the main page:

It shows 23 replies with the last one at 8:06pm by cdub.

When I open the thread, I find post 24 shows:

Not sure what's wrong. Are there actually missing posts? Or is the board clock off? Or is it the wind and rain outside washing through my brain? wink.gif

Regardless, this thread shows up with the new post marker and at the top of the forum, but there aren't any new posts to read.

Ahhhh ... if it helps, another board I belong to is using this same software and is having similar headache producing fun.  tongue.gif

I didn't know one needed to "post" in order to 'vote'. But I assume that each 'vote' is considered as an 'active' view/post and is recorded as such, even if there is no actual new message. dntknw.gif

I thought you could vote without posting, but assumed that a vote is not a recorded post. The view is recorded, since you have to do that in order to vote.

Oops. I hadn't thought about it being a vote. Thanks for the tip.
