I don't think so, otherwise he would have used a map or even Google or some other search engine. dntknw.gif

Then I should go back and erase my response?  dntknw.gif  doh.gif

Actually, it is the province of Newfoundland & Labrador.  You see, we "mainlanders" think Labrador should be a separate province due to many factors.  But for now, we settle with NL (abbreviation just like any State south of the border).  For you r information, we had a good dump of snow last year in the middle of January which left us with 120 cm in just that 2 day storm.  You can figure that out at roughly 30 cm to a foot.  Strangely enough, I don't remember shoveling our roof after that one.  I believe it was the direction of the wind that kept the loading down.

Why go to Google Maps when the answer shows up here? Don't you remember, I have a Mapquest problem. I don't know if Google Maps would show up either.

So "Labrador" is the "Province", eh? Just like Quebec is a "country".

It may be famous, but I've not been north or northeast of Boston, so I'm not aquainted with the geography up that far.

Quebec has never gained their sovereignty as a country.  They are still a province within the borders of Canada.

It appears that the nuance of my statement was not observed. Notice the quotation marks. I gathered from your earlier post that Labrador is not considered to be a true Province by some.

Thanks! You know how I love maps! It appears that Goose Bay is a town, not a bay; and not a town on a bay. Bet they would be able to lower taxes by changing the name to E Bay. wink.gif

Here is a shot from yesterday (April 10) of our snow conditions.  Don't think we'll see bare ground until late May.[attachment=234:attachment]

Oh man! I'm glad to be in Missouri! Milwaukee is getting socked with 6-10 inches of snow! The maps online show about 4-6 so far in our corner of the county. Hope it has all melted when we get home on Saturday! It could look like that photo there today...

Gregg..

We are/were supposed to get that same "6-10 inches" rant.gif
But so far it's only amounted to about a slushy 1-2"... clap.gif SO FAR!!..

This time of year I'm of the "Mother Nature put it there... she can take it away" persuasion...  We'll see how that sets with "management" oops.gif  biggrin.gif

Hope your trip is going well...

I forgot to mention in my last post- I've logged in over 350 cm of snow since October- that's nearly 12 feet.

csoni:

As I sit looking out my hotel window over the "presently" snow-free Honolulu Bay (again!), I'm surely glad you got around to answering my query of, what was it, last January   clap.gif  toothgrin.gif  WOW.gif

And now, seriously . . . good luck with all that white stuff.

I'm going to check for a Goose Bay web page to see if here's some data on what the community looks like absent all that snow cover!

I have to admit that before I saw that sketch map, I (too) assumed that Gose Bay was on the Atlantic . . . err sumthin'

RHPConsult- if you scroll back some, you'll see I did answer your query earlier.  This is just a follow up.
