Guy,
I can't speak with authority since I have never owned an Apple Cinema Display.
But I think all you will need is a Mini Display Port adapter to whatever video input is supported by the ACD.
I have a MacBook Pro 13" (mid-2010) that I have hooked up to external displays using both HDMI and standard SVGA & VGA inputs.
Using the appropriate dvi adapter cable.
The most recent is a "Kanex iAdapt MDPHDMIV2 HDMI V2 - Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter with Audio Support" that I ordered from Amazon for $28.
And that's probably overkill.
This is the HDMI version.
FWIW,
Jack
