TS Slow as molasses in January?

Seems like there are two issues in play - Ana Lucia was offline (for HTTP - not mail or MySQL, not that that helps us any!) for a period of time tonight AND there is another issue out of ASO's control:
QUOTE
Paddy-

Any slow connections you may have experienced over the past 48 hours was out of our control.  It was related to a broken Level 3 link.

Are you still having problems loading your site?  If so, can you provide us with an exact URL?

We apologize for any hosting inconveniences you've experienced.

He also gave me the link to this thread in the ASO forums, which makes it sound a bit different:

(Anyone know what a "broken Level 3 link" means? - I've asked Anthony...)

BTW - I assume Ana Lucia was offline while they did the Apache rollbacks mentioned in the thread at ASO.

Was at my folks' yesterday watching the game of course (NY Giants are my Mom's favorite). Was a really good game. That amazing eluding by Manning and the subsequent miracle catch by Tyree was unbelievable. Both teams were pretty equal in ability but that one play made the difference.

Although you and Paddy have established that The Game was not the cause of our sluggishness (and it refused to load "Community" the first time again just now) logic would tell you that if this was the second most watched TV broadcast in our history, there weren't a bunch of folks online at the time.

That catch was incredible. I thought the ball was going to pop out while he was still bringing it in, so to speak. And then I was sure it was going to pop out as he got bent over backwards and was about to hit the ground. I think the defensive player being underneath him prevented that, and permitted him to hang on to the ball WITH HIS HELMUT!!!!! Amazing!
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Further response from Ben at ASO:
QUOTE
Paddy,

The problem you were experiencing earlier was related to the rollbacks. In regards to Level3, we have had the Level3 Tier of routing to our datacenter cut down to 75% recently, which has caused a lot of issues relating to site timeouts. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Regards,
Ben
