RAM really does make a difference
« on: June 13, 2003, 05:57:53 PM »
My parents gave me a 512 mb RAM chip for Father's Day (I know, a few days early).  Before I was running 10.2.6 on 192 mbs of ram.  It was terrible, just a little sluggish.  It's much nicer now!

Yup...it's like the old saying...you can NEVER have too much RAM! (well...you can, but your machine just won't recognize it!)

OS X is a RAM hog, relatively speaking. It's nuts to think it will run well on the "minimum" suggested by Apple - 128MB!

Good deal Dan. smile.gif

The real minimum is 256.

More is better. smile.gif

You betcha! Lot's 'O Ram is a good thang.

OS X runs good with 1 1/2 Gigs. You can do a lot of things.clap.gif
