Great Speed Test for your interweb connection

It could be that version of Safari can't handle the HTML5 content. Firefox is into version 50. You might try this site and see how Safari (and any other browser you have) does with the tests.

I just ran the test and was somewhat surprised to see ads and a request to "trust" the sites use of Flash. Then I remembered I'disabled AdBlock and Ghostery last night. Ran the test anyway and got these results:

Re-enabled AdBlock and Ghostery and ran the test 5 minutes later with the following results:

I think this is simply more confirmation that multiple tests will always give multiple results, rarely, if ever, duplicate results.

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

Informatiom Overload

I did not get the summary results of up/dowm speeds, just a whole bunch of other stuff.

All I wanted was the upload/Download results.

Are these values buried in there somewhere?

Anyway, it ran.

Are you saying you got the "dials" display?

There is some highlighted text just above those dials: "For best results close out other open tabs in your browser and ensure your computer is mostly idle."

There is a "View Details" button along the bottom of the dials display after the test is complete.

Did you try the HTML5 test site I mentioned? wink.gif

😭😭😭😭😭

Can't believe some of you folks complain about your slow speeds. I have the 2nd highest speed available to me and the next jump isn't much of a jump except in cost (32, 5.58, 1.25). I do have the option of paying for super high speed 'net, as a business would use, but it's $$$$$. Still, no complaints from me as I can easily stream Netflix and Amazon, and visit sites on the 'net. Plus I love where I live.

I get no dials with HTML5TEST.  I get a score of 423 out of 555.
With results from Parsing Rules, Video, Elements, Audio, ad infinitum.

Sourceforge gives me the lazy barber pole with no results.

Fuget it.

OK, I understand, now. I thought you were referring to the HTML5 Speed testing site. You beat me! I get only 383 with Safari 10.0.3! This is not a up/down-load speed test. it simply tests how HTML5 compliant your browser is.

I get 466 in Firefox (ver. 50.0.2 [51.0.1 available]) and 489 in Opera (ver. 43.0.2442.991). Apple resting on it's 'laurels'? wallbash.gif

16 ms, 65.7Mbps, 82.0Mbps, 0% here at 1:30am in a Pear Tree Inn in Arnold, Missouri!  My cousin called on my wife's phone and woke up everyone but my wife; whatever she called about is locked in her phone because I don't know, or care to know, about her voicemail code.  I'm interested in trying this out at home and office if I ever get back there!

Here's another speed test: http://www.speedtest.net/?noflash=1 If you like, you can download a desktop app at http://www.speedtest.net/apps/desktop and a mobile app at http://www.speedtest.net/mobile/  Better still, visit App Store and do it from there.
