iTunes 4 sharing - works outside your subnet

My router number is "207.237.234.1" and I also have a subnet mask. I tried entering that number as a URL, but no page existed there. I also tried entering "192.168.1.1" as a URL (just to experiment) but a page wouldn't load for that either.

It says in the one link you gave me that my iTunes preferences should have that port in sharing, but there's nothing about ports in my iTunes sharing preferences. Does this mean I'm wrong, and I don't have a router? That doesn't make sense, because in Network it says I do. Why can't I open this port from my Network preferences, why do I have to go to an external URL with Safari?
