Hi guys ...
« on: May 05, 2003, 08:04:00 AM »
Hi - haven't posted for a while, been moving house & other things. Now on holiday in Melbourne (Victoria - eastern Australia), getting to know my grand-daughter, now 21 months old.
Spent the last few days on the south coast, near Geelong - nice beaches, but a bit chilly for swimming right now!

Cheers .. BarbZ

Welcome! Your smiling face has been missed--along with your stories of Down Under.

As a child, my wife spent a year or so in Western Australia. Ah, for some home made witchetty grubs. Yum!   http://www.rumbalara-e.schools.nsw.edu.au/...Xyleutes_sp.htm

Great to hear from you again.... talking of food - TV had Crocodile Dundee 2 on yesterday (excuse for watching - we were waiting for the news    ) which had an Aborigine munching into something that looked pretty awful to Euro eyes. One character asked him disbelievingly "You enjoying that?" and got the deadpan reply "naw........ needs garlic..."

Not the greatest film ever made, perhaps, but has some good moments.

Oooh, must be telepathy.

Just last night I was looking in the archives for something and came across an old post by you and wondered where you were. I was going to start a thread today to see if anyone had heard from you.

Very glad to see you are OK and enjoying the better parts of life.

Hi    Hope you doing fine.  Nice Beaches      Is there anyway you can send the beautiful coastline  here to Southern California. Trade maybe?
Nahhh! I didn't think so.  We used to say,
"Surfs up! "  Now we say. "Sludge down"  LOL

Hi Barb!  Good to hear from you.  Beautiful beach, bet the  granddaughter is more so.

We know the computer is doing well-else you'd posted    how are you?

My favorite hang out  when I had hair down to my waist.  Hermosa Beach is just five miles away from home.
