Javascript is nasty stuff.

Yet another Javascript security hole:

If you currently have the misfortune to have a Yahoo email account, you might wish to consider a more secure alternative: https://www.fastmail.fm

Unfortunately, I'm using Yahoo as my main mailbox -- and it is such a pain to change it.  But I have added a filter (under Yahoo Mail Options)

If...

   From contains "av3@yahoo.com"
   Subject contains "New Graphic Site"

...then it is automatically moved to my Trash folder.

Hopefully that will take care of it.

Hopefully.

JavaScript may make it cross-platform, but I can't find anything that says it affects Macs. Stories about new malware discoveries usually assume Macs don't exist.

While my mac can't be infected, I've downloaded over 50 pieces of trash first thing this morning. Every hour it's another 20 or so. Had some yesterday as well. So it does have an effect on mac's in it's own way. wink.gif

I'm afraid so, kimmer -- Same as druggie friends.  Just be there for them when they decide to get clean & sober!
