Photoshop question
« on: July 02, 2006, 11:03:00 AM »
I have an image taken with a flash and need to know how to lighten up on the edges where the flash didn't till as well.  I do the curves thing, but then that leaves an obvious outline of where the curve is adjusted.  What is the simplest, inobtrusive way to adjust such parameters on the edges which are darker?  I am using PS 7.

Csonni...

Do you have a "Burn / Dodge" tool in PS7 ?
The 'Dodge' portion will 'lighten' based on your brush/pixel pattern or size.

Have found this useful when working on old photos....  I'm using PSE 4.0.

Hope this helps....

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach him to
use the Net and he won't bother you for weeks.

Take a look at this tutorial:

Pay particular attention about halfway through, when he discusses using the History brush.
