Just found this "vintage" computer forum. Subjects include Mac systems going back to 6, at least; the Apple I and ][; the TRS-80 and even the Commodore.

The board doesn't appear to be heavily trafficked, but clicking on a forum heading then scrolling to the bottom and changing threads to From Beginning hauls up a lot of older ones, which could help if you're looking to solve a problem already discussed.

Don't get me started on all the old computers in my basement; occasionally this has been useful though: At one time I had a CP/M system with a working 8" floppy drive that I used to copy old data for some researchers at KU.  Made some money on that but didn't feel right charging a lot for it!  It's the file format's that are sometimes a problem: Old OS 7 and before had some strange old files that aren't always easy to translate.

This is another website with some similar info that I had bookmarked:

My basement is entirely hopeless; I have a long term project of emptying it out to the point I can actually get into it to see what's there.  I have Commodore 64's and Kaypro's as well as an S-100 computer system with a blown power supply that came with both 8" and 5-1/4" Floppy Drives!
