I received a somewhat excited email from another TS member, a quite elderly one, at that, who shall remain nameless...he does live just south of SF and travels to "paradise" monthly...

Anyway, it seems he was impressed to see his name appear in the credits of SD and suggested that I might want to observe his 'name in lights', also. Fearing that any delay of a response might send him into some kind of catatonic seizure, I immediately opened my just hours old updated version and dutifully selected the "About SuperDuper" menu item. Unfortunately, I did not see this gentleman's name among the numerous lists. Since my age and lack of education forces me to read at rather slow speeds, I closed the About window and tried again. As with most repeated actions, I saw the same results. doh.gif Except...

Guess what name did appear in the list of names, the last one, as a matter of fact. I'll see if I can get 10 extra post credits to the first one to give me the name that I saw! eusa_dance.gif

How did my name get in there???? (Clear down at the end)

Jack

Or maybe every registered user gets his/her name in the end credits for "above and beyond the call to duty".

Well ok, just this once.

ABD your aged TS member related all to me and was highly amused that he was reeled in.

Surely you don't speak of yourself! But if you do land near Elvis' house, you had better give me a call! Retribution or no. I suggest that Harv should wary of the arrival of any 'surprise' packages, especially from CA! eek2.gif

Cute, very cute. biggrin.gif Just updated - and there I was!

Kris, I think it might be right up there with listing among your interests/memberships membership in Book-of-the-Month Club. I'll never forget the resumé we got from someone that actually said that. rolleyes.gif

George: ABD gets nothing from the "aged Member" but affection and respect, I believe.

The devil in the piece is Sir Pendragon, to whom certain characterizations were recently addressed (according to reliable sources) identifying his
  • mendacaity
  • obfuscation
  • perfidious behavior
in leading his elder and infirm colleague down the primrose path.

In confirmation, I am again reliably informed, Sir Pendragon in fact acknowledged the truth of these descriptions by replying.

Ah, the primrose path...

I shall the effect of this good lesson keep,
As watchman to my heart. But, good my brother,
Do not, as some ungracious pastors do,
Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven;
Whiles, like a puff'd and reckless libertine,
Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads,
And recks not his own rede.

Dear Sir Pendragon,

The 'court' rules that the lack of perfection in ( some ) others, is not an acceptable defense for ones own actions. Motion denied! We find for the 'infirmed' party. The bailif will please help the gentleman out. Next case. harhar.gif

Later, in Chambers...
