Go and find yourself a dark room and lie down until you feel better.

I tell my sons, and the Boy Scouts I work with, the boredom is just a lack of inner resources, not intelligence just the developement of diverse interests that serve to keep your mind busy when you can't find anything else to do!

You're welcome here. Your posts help keep some of the rest of us from getting bored. Just stay within the guidelines, and we'll all be the richer for having you aboard.

Parker,

When I get bored I get cranky, so Mr. Retired tends to buy me lots of books so that I'm not likely to get bored. biggrin.gif  I won't share Mr. Retired, but you need another hobby, perhaps. wink2.gif

Tell me, what do you like to do on your computer? Do you build web sites? Dabble in graphics? Write code? Play games? Do you have other hobbies besides collecting *macs*?

I'll admit I'm hooked on Bud Redhead and wish there was a sequel. hehehe  Okay - your turn. smile.gif

Hi Parker,  Here is a hobby list for just a start, it will keep anybody from becoming bored.
Of all my hobbies, the one that keeps me the busiest this time of year, are my extensive flower gardens.  Even tho that is sort of a female type hobby, you could start with a small veggie garden.  Get your mom and sisters to plant the flowers.

Another great hobby that all our kids do is music, they all play keyboards and guitars, one is even taking banjo lessons(loves Bluegrass). That one also plays Blues and Jazz.
Reading when the weather is bad.
Depending on where you live, example, I took off on my bike for an hour or so early this morning, down by the seashore with my camera.  Biking is great unless youre in a traffic area.
Youve already got photography and photoshop going, I see.  I love that too.
I see you are already involved in sports, I love tennis and softball too.
Lots of sailing clubs and racing on Long Island, our kids used to go there to compete.

Diving and snorkeling(those are 2 of my favourites) though they are not great for New England and Long Island.  Your boat looks like fun too.  Try kayaking if youve got calm waters.  We hit the ponds and rivers here on Cape Cod when the SW wind is whistling.  Your climate is pretty much the same as ours for boating.
Volunteer to teach computer stuff to people too, I do that for fun.
Build some model rockets, a telescope, when the weather brings us indoors.
Go hiking too, yet that involves a drive, join a club that goes rafting and hiking.
This is just a quick list of some of the stuff I like as an example.
Dont let yourself become bored, life is too short.  And too much fun!
Jane

Speaking of Diving,
i'm actually going diving in the caribbean next week
in Cozumel and Georgetown.

I'm in florida now; if i was in new york i'd be sketching out a design for my classic mac casing and futzing around of them...

techsurvivors is entertaining however... lol
kept me entertained until i went nite nite.
while i brought old posts from previous pages back to the top of the list

have a great day y'all

Thats wonderful!   I know you will have a great time.  Ive never been to Cozumel, tho we have flown over the island many times on our way to Belize.
We will have to wait for winter for our trip south, too many family things going on in Vermont, NH, and Maine in the summer.
