Heard that the stock price shot up on the news this morning in the car.

Also, in average PC sales declined, but Apple sold more.

Apple's market share soars 16%

Note: that says their market share went up 16%, not that it went TO 16%.

Very good news - and I really should have bought some Apple stock...

The switch to Intel and the near-certainty of Boot Camp being part of Leopard IS a big selling point any way you cut it for potential switchers. I have a couple of friends who are considering new machines (mostly laptops) and I've got them pretty much convinced, simply by telling them that if they really, really have one or two apps that just have to run under Windoze, they'll be all set.
