Kensington wireless blutooh mouse has trouble linking
« on: August 26, 2006, 02:54:13 AM »
I bought a Kensington wireless Bluetooth mouse for the spouse's MacMini (Intel-based). Often when she boots up, the Mouse fails to link to the Mini's Bluetooth system. The pointerf is froze and essentially the machine is frozen ay bootup. The only solution is to force a shutdown and restart. After a few seconds, the mouse is found and linked after the restart.

Note with type of mouse, I did not have to have a Bluetooth receiver ala D-Linj plugged into a USB port.

Any ideas before I return the mouse and buy an Apple wireless bluetooth?

Thanks,

MamaMoose

well you shouldn't really need a bluetooth dongle if you have in intel-based mac mini.

how old is the kensington mouse?
still under return policy?? may want to exchange it for a mighty mouse.

if not, i would phone kensington.

cheers,
