OT: Some help with my Bose 3-2-1 Sound System
« on: August 26, 2006, 03:56:07 PM »
Ok... i just bought grandma and papa a Bose 3-2-1 surround system

after a power outage (which are frequent down here in florida), you'll power up the bose and television and you'll get no sound out of the bose (in TV mode) until you go into the audio settings and just open and close one thing.

Is this normal??

Well, I just posted, or thought I did!  And it is lost somewhere in cyber space!

Parker, that is an awesome looking system, and I’ll bet your grand parents are grateful, and proud of you for getting it for them.  As I was saying in my lost post,  about a hundred years ago when I was a rep for several component system manufacturers, I could have helped you with the problem. [unfortunately  that was in the old days when they used vinyl records and weighted turntables, and tuned and ported speakers were just coming out.  Everyone was convinced that a large open reel tape system was the ultimate in sound fidelity.]  Sorry I can’t help you with the problem, but if you haven’t already looked, try

In the mean time, I will see what else I can dig up for your.  biggrin.gif

got it to work...
you have to hit input on the tv once to get to video and another time to get back to tv
it's like really dumb but whatever
it's the price for awesome sound
(for a grandmother who has hearing problems...)

she actually knows how to work it! ohmy.gif
