I figured it out. It was MacUpdate. smile.gif

I use Versiontracker which is much the same I think and I don't think they ever charge for it!  Anyone else have an opinion about this?

Macupdate is free too, though they have a member services which, IMO, isn't worth what they charge:

Didn't know there was anything else around for keeping up with Mac updates besides VersionTracker! HA! But since it is free ( they have a subscription service that is also not worth the money, IMHO ) and I usually visit MacFixIt first thing in the morning, I'm already there. And the MFI home page lists important updates right on the page. And Ted Landau's comments are an added feature! Command-click and you're on the download page for the app. I've seen a "Notify be when this app updates again" but I've never clicked it, don't know if it's free or part of their "deal". Many developers automatically notify you when they update, VT takes care of the rest.

You can sign up for a once-a-week email listing all of the VersionTracker updates. As far as I know, this is entirely free, since I don't pay a cent for it. Of course, I rarely have the time to read the email either; it's rather a long list every Saturday morning! rolleyes.gif

I was signed up for all three Versiontracker emailings (OS X, OS 9, Windows) but the email program a work seems to have decided they're spam; have to work on that.

I can see why you'd want those other listings, but I unsubscribed to the OS X mailing because it listed way too much that I wasn't interested in. The MFI home page works fine for me, usually only 5 - 9 apps listed each day. Of course, there is usually something posted at TS that covers the rest! clap.gif May have to give MacUpdate a look, too. smile.gif

Thanks for the tips on the other sites. I'm just happy to have found what I signed up for, so I can cancel it upon renewal. wink.gif
