Jane:  I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago and it does work.  Cant say that I use it as I am pretty happy with the "dock". I is still on the machine and has not seemed to cause any problems.

Jane - I brought this up here back when you were on vacation I think.  I like this program because it told me I had things installed that I didn't remember installing.  As a replacement for the dock I'm not sure but it seems stable and I have it there to use!

The dock is obsolete once you learn Quicksilver.

I wouldn't want a dock that looks like the image at the Todos Web site, but To Each Their Own...

I haven't used the Apple Dock in years... DragThing (a rather inelegant name...) has many more features and can be customized to match the way you work.  I would not want to be without it...

I too do not use the dock. sSeveral years ago krissel recommeded DropDrawers and I have been using it ever since. A click on a specific DD tab and I have an app, data, graphic, etc. appear. It is simple to use. I categorize all my stuff into a series of tabs which run down the side of my scren. For example, in the Internet tab I have iSight, FireFox, Safari,Eudora (mail client). and IE. All are in the tab in icon form with name underneath. If I want to add a new item, I just drag it from , say its folder, to the tab. I can delete an item by grabbing its icon in the tab and dragging it to the trash.

Very nifty!

I'm with Mayo on this one - mine would probably fill up my entire 22" monitor and how helpful would THAT be?? (my desktop is enough mess for me...) I use the Applications folder in the Dock - everything's alphabetical and it's not difficult to find things, except when I forget what the app is called - which Todos isn't going to solve!

I've always been happy enough with the Dock - I also keep my Documents and my Home folders in the Dock, so I can find things easily and quickly without going through the Finder. Simple and it works for me. smile.gif
