Thanks for the correction. I thought that if your phone "talked" to your iSP that they were one and the same network. I stand corrected.

because i have Cablevision for my internet service (switched from verizon dsl) and cingular for my cellular phone provider

and even if your phone had WiFi (which no treo's do),
it wouldn't matter still
because it would be able to connect to any access point regardless of who your cell phone provider is.

my advice now, you don't want a smartphone
or else you'll become an "e-mail slave"
