My DL and install were routine. As best I can tell, no problems & no conflicts---yet.  dntknw.gif

All seems fine and iTunes continues as before.clap.gif

I just checked for the update from right within iTune and it said that I have the current version (7.0.1).  Thinking.gif

Odd, because it's there under Software Update.

You may want to run a permissions fix. Six iTunes-only were fixed after I installed it.

huh.gif  huh.gif Did it have the 'equilizer' with presets before??
I've been using SRS iWow or Volume Logic and don't think that was there previously.

I just wish that they would 'interface' the equalizer to the music genre so I didn't have to keep 'tweaking' the genre on the equilizer as it runs through my playlist on a random basis. Look.gif

I'm not sure what you mean by that second sentence, but there is a short description at MFI that explains why one might want to "Verify" Permissions before actually repairing them. iTunes 7.x changed some permissions to what they should have been all along, but that info is not in the files that DU uses to determine what permissions to use. So, when you repair permissions, the new, correct settings for at least one part of iTunes will be reset to the old values. No one has yet reported problems by these incorrect values, but it provides the first instance of why one should ever use "Verify" instead of going directly to "Repair" that I have ever seen.

The whole point is moot for me, since I've not upgraded beyond 6 on my machine. It seems to be working fine on my wife's iBook, but it gets extremely little use there ( and not much more on mine! ).

FWIW, Volume Logic does not work with any version of iTunes 7.x. Hopefully it will soon.
