Has anyone been using any of the Canon PIXMA Pro 9000? If so, how do you find it? How is it on ink? Any others beside Canon that you recommend, that will do 11x14 or larger?

Google for it...Amazon.com has it for $448.33 with free shipping.

Not find as in searching.  Find as in quality, ink usage, etc.

It's a very new printer, so not much in the way of reviews online just yet.

Lots of info here:

Generally very favorable reviews here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16828102009

Lots of opinions on printers here - you can search specifically on models or issues - including the Pro9000 or the Pro9500:

BTW - I don't think anyone buys one of these high-end archival quality large format printers worrying all that much about how much ink they use. After all, no matter how you cut it, any printer used to print 13X19 photos is going to use a LOT of ink. Every printer I've seen at this level has individual tanks for each color, so there is none of the throwing away an entire cartridge because one out of 4 colors has run out. I did see one comment in (think it was the dpreview forums) that the Canon printer inks cost slightly less than Epson.

I can only add that my last two printer purchases have been Canon - an i860 and an MP600 and I've been very happy with both.

Thanks for that info, Paddy.
