Due to the high number of spam bots and the like, registration at Techsurvivors has a couple of security features.
1. Users must input a random code when registering and changing email address, etc to prevent bot's from spamming the forms.
2. When registering or changing an email address, the user receives a validation email. You MUST click on the link contained in the email!! Therefore you must supply a valid email address. Of course there are those of you concerned that your email box will start filling up. It
WON'T. We do not use your email address for any purpose, period, nada. You can elect to receive emails from the board admin, or you can elect not. But you
must give a valid email for the sign up process to work, and now also if you need change your account. Now, by the same token, you must receive the email.
Check your junk folders. Or add us to your trusted senders. Particularly those of you with web based email clients.

Why you ask? We've been receiving one to three spammers registering per day. We don't want them bothering you or us. So far we've been able to keep them out, but they are getting more sophisticated. We may have to get more sophisticated also, but let's see how this works.
