OK, so I used the Google to search for a lost sock and typed in;

"lost sock" = about 1,560,000 English pages

"lost sock + laundry room" =about 845,000

"lost sock + laundry room -rest of  house" = about 599,000 English pages

"lost sock +laundry room - rest of house - dryer " =about 118,000 English pages

"lost sock +laundry room - rest of house - dryer -basket" =about 63,600 English pages

A few more tries and I'll find that bugger!

Mark! Where have you been?! We've been looking for a replacement for a couple of our members and I think you'd fit the bill perfectly! I can't tell you their names, but you might recognize them by their use of a total of five g's in their two short screen names! eek2.gif A volunteer board like TS never has enough resources and wasting that many g's on only two people is ridiculous! rant.gif I also like you because you have the same name as my brother. Are we, perhaps related? dntknw.gif I must, however, note that you seem to use certain letters a little excessively. Making do with only one of each could make your selection as a replacement a shoe in!

An update on the sock search:

last search was;

 "lost sock +laundry room - rest of house - dryer -basket -shelf - floor -behind -door -wall -closet -pantry -hamper -box -bag -shoe -sack +pocket"

and yeilds but 3 pages, so I'm almost there ... next will be Google maps.
