I am a regular subscriber to MacFormat and occasionally read MacUser if I see it on the shelves.

So what do you all read?

Hi Frances,

I subscribe to none but occasionally buy MacUser and iCreate. Usually, only when I arrive home, do I discover that someone has stolen the attached disc from iCreate. By then I am miles from the shop and can't be bothered to return for the disc - anyway I find the contents of them mostly uninteresting.

MacLife is the only computer magazine I read. I've been a subscriber from the beginning and like the magazine -- even if they discontinued the monthly disc. *pout*

MacWorld and MacAddict/MacLife.
Sadly, the smaller MacHome has gone away.  Was hoping some of their writers would get hired by the others, but haven't seen them so far.

None.

I find most computer print mags redundant. Better and more current stuff online. Most mags work on a three month lead, by the time they end up on news stands the info is far too old.

None here either. I gave up on computer magazines for all platforms ages ago.

The Howto articles are never done in depth. If you need to know how to do something, either search online or buy a book.

Also. everything seems to go in cycles. It's June so it's time for xxxxxx, if it's September it's time to do yyyyyy again.

I'm kind of in there with Sandyman; I subscribed to both MacWorld and MacAddict until about 6 months ago, when they started focusing on the new intel macs, and since I just bought the G5 Quad ( biggrin.gif!!!!!!!), I don't have much use for the info that they are covering. . .

MacWorld and MacAddict are my choices of Mags, but i also get PCWorld that has some info and reviews on Macs as well.

It's really up to the individual on what they really want to read.  I am open to both platforms, Mac and PC, but Mac does rule in my home.

I gave up on MacHome before it went under. Most of the articles were about things I don't use my Mac for. Plus all the OSX stuff was irrelevant to me. My Mac doesn't crash, I know how to do what I want to do with it. I don't need no stinkin' magazine. tongue.gif
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

I used to pass them on to the school libraries, and they were great for some of the new Mac users.
