I have pics of Cape Perpetua taken on a very similar sunny day! Bit warmer, though, if memory serves!
Warmer? It's never warm here.
We've been hitting the low 50's for several days and looks like the same ahead for a week or so. Whoot! I'm sure we'll pay down the road. HAHAHA!
BTW, we visited the Aquarium on Saturday, Paddy. Took our company. I had to stop and talk to my Tufted Puffin.
I found the octopus (he ignored them -
hehehe), we got hugged by a sea urchin, petted the starfish, passed on touching the eel .. and had a grand time. I think the best moment was watching the otters and the "couple" ... uhh ... was playing and we were watching and suddenly ... and we all
and busted up laughing - except for Dan who missed it and we wouldn't tell him what we saw.
If you get out this way - let us know. We'll "meet and greet". Same goes for any of you who visit this area.

The stone shelter in the second set seems like something a friend sent me from his trip to the Oregon coast. What's the story on the ruin?
Ruin? It's not a ruin.
It's a lovely shelter. The roof has recently been repaired, the stones are in super shape - it's well maintained. Twas built during the depression by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). During WWII it was used as a spotting post for ships, subs, planes, etc.. Mainly it's always been a lovely place to stand and view the coastline and watch for whales.
beacher, if you get this way and have time ... let us know ... we'll buy you a cup of java or something.
