Interesting article.

I've been using Safari a great deal the past 2 wks. after I got tired of the way FF downloaded -- or didn't -- things. Safari handles the downloads seamlessly, whereas FF was hanging up the entire browser while it loaded the download window and then it was S _ L _ O _ W during the download process. Things were taking *hours*, when they only needed minutes. Worse, they often timed out at the end. So I switched to Safari to download and just started surfing with it. I do have things I don't like about it, but it's livable.

I may give this SafariStand a whirl.

I don't use any browsers 'download' capabilities. You might want to check into <SpeedDownload> ( works with most any browser ) and let the browser just browse! smile.gif 'Integration' is OK for some things, but when it starts code bloat and sluggish performance, it's time to look for better and more efficient ways. smile.gif
