Hi Gary,

I use TDK 8X DVD-R for backups when the data will fit. (Or even when it won't fit, because Toast will no make (span) multiple discs.

I replaced the internal 2X SuperDrive on my G4 QS 933 with a Pioneer DVR-112D burner. Purchased at OWC (MacSales.com). Cost around $40 plus shipping.
No problems installing on my G4. One sweet drive!

Burns DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD÷-RW and DVD+R DL and CD-R, CD-RW
Burns DVD+R Dual Layer @ 8x.

I recently purchased TDK DVD+R Dual Layer blanks. I have only burned one of these so far. It worked great.

My 2¢ worth.

I understand many people like the Toyo Yuden blanks best. My problem is there are too many to choose from and I get confused.

At my age, that isn't too difficult!
