THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
CAUTION! Childhood vaccinations cause adults!

Why does my one person's email bounce
« Reply #16 on: March 23, 2008, 11:22:19 PM »
Ask your friend to tell you word for word what the bounce message says. Bounces always contain the exact, precise reason that the email bounced, but the reason why is surrounded by a bunch of numbers, so the person who gets the bounce may be intimidated and frightened by what looks like computer code and may not read the message.

Here are two sample bounce messages. I have put in bold the part that explains why the message bounced.

Well, things seem to be fine at the mo!  I think they cured themselves somehow! No doubt she will tell me if it happens again and then I will ask her to send me the exact message.

Thanks for all your help.  Appreciated.

QUOTE(Paddy @ Mar 22 2008, 04:31 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Daryl, I've never heard of that issue with Telus - I live in Canada and have a friend who is a VP at Telus; his email certainly doesn't do that.

Paddy:   My friend in Edmonton must have heard us talking about him.  I got an E-mail from him yesterday and something has changed. Now the "From" is "smithjohnl" and there is a line for "Reply to"- "johnsmith". I tried it and did not get the Non-delivery return. thumbup.gif

Since it did not come back it appears as tho one could use either when sending to him and expect him to get em. whistling.gif
