Well, I finally DID it!!
« on: April 09, 2008, 06:15:02 PM »
I have not even set it up yet, but I'm very exCITed.

It will be my first experience of Leopard, too, so don't be surprised if I'm here asking questions later tonite or later in the week....

Still waiting on a 750 GB SATA drive, coming in 'the mail'.

[I'll modify my Profile to include the 'new' machine's specs]

Congrats, kbear! There will major changes from Panther but you've already seen those in Tiger. There are also several new features that I have grown to love! You'll probably have your own favorites. The change between Tiger and Leopard is easier than Panther to Tiger, I've heard. Of course, nothing like the change from OS 9 to Leopard! eek2.gif smile.gif

Congratulations KBeartx.

I never owned a G5, but I am thinking about getting a second hand G5 as my file server.

Just connected and turned-on the G5 for the first time, still marveling at Leopard and how blazingly fast this beast is! Lots more to be done ASAP!!

I've enjoyed my Powermac G5 for quite some time now.  I thought about upgrading to a MacPro, but the G5 is still fine for what I need.  Congrats.

Cheetah was first:Cheetah, Puma, Jaguar, Panther, Leopard

Something screwy going on here. I can't edit any posts in this thread. Anyone else having trouble?

OK, seems as though adding one particular group of words is not being allowed..... weird.

So, I'm testing your editing problem... so far so good.

These are possible cats still to be used:

Ocelot
Bobcat
Cougar
Lion
Lynx

Wonder which will be next?

testing again

Why in the world can't I post a complete sentence about Apple trademarks?

Apple has a trademark on Cougar.

Dum de dum de dum.....

Not on Lynx.

It expired in December. Wonder why they let it drop?

((I feel like I'm in first grade having to use simple sentences....)

I don't remember Cheetah or Puma. Must not have been promoted as much as the fact it was OSX back then.

I had a little trouble loading pages, but my sentences are rather simple. wacko.gif

Weird is a good word for choosing Cheetah first instead of saving that for a faster version. (I've seen others here suggest Cheetah for the next "point" upgrade.)
