Can't install Adobe Flash Player
« on: April 09, 2008, 08:53:47 PM »
I get as far as only two items to be installed and get an error message telling me access is denied.  What do I need to do?  Thanks.

Tried fixes just short of terminal fixes.  I am not confident enough to try that, so now I have NO version on my computer.

And you're still getting the error? And you've reinstalled browsers?

Have you checked to make sure ALL Flash stuff is gone? Do a Spotlight search. I have Adobe CS3 and the plugin is installed there as well as in the Application Support folder in the root directory library. I don't know if the removal tool looks everywhere or not.

STRANGE,
but I won't question it. I was having a problem accessing a site with Safari, because of the lack of Flash Player,  so I switched to Firefox, and tried the same  site . Instead of taking me to the site to download it (which, as noted earlier, did not work), it actually installed it for me.  Guess there's another workaround here!  whistling.gif
