Why hasn't Adobe added a bookmarking feature to Adobe Reader? Beats the heck out of me! Fortunately, someone has taken up the challenge and created a Javascript that allows a reader to place a single bookmark in a PDF...
PDF Bookmark 1.1 If the file isn't downloaded when you click on the link (the Javascript code will be displayed instead...) just Control/Click on the link and select "Save Linked File To Desktop" from the drop-down menu. Instructions for installing the file are at the above link. If Adobe Reader is open when the Javascript file is added to your user library then you will have to close and reopen Reader for the hack to take effect...
There is also a link on the above page for another hack that allows the placement of multiple bookmarks in a single PDF.
