Are there Web sites you regularly check to see if anything has changed, like new posts at TechSurvivors or a shopping Web site that serves up great deals that you don't want to miss? How about the Drop Box in your Public Folder? Do you operate Web sites that you want to be sure are up-and-running 24/7? Then
ChangesMeter may be for you...
ChangesMeter places a configurable icon in the Finder Menu Bar that signals when one of your monitored items changes or if a Web site goes offline. It can also play a sound alert or notify you via Growl. It's donationware and it looks pretty slick... But since I just started using it I can't say how well it actually works... But I am hoping that I no longer have to keep checking my fav Web site for Mac system deals that can come and go in a flash; ChangesMeter may come in handy for the online Apple Store refurb section. (You can also use DealMac.com to configure instant e-mail alerts for specific items that you are looking for...)
