For the last couple of months, whenever I ask Appleworks to print multiple copies, it will only print one. I'm using AppleWorks 6.2.7 on a 733 G4, OSX 10.2.6, and the printer is an HP Photosmart 7550. . .Anybody have any ideas? (And, BTW, if you try to steer me to a certain spot, please (!), make the pathway in the "Pathways for Dummies" fashion.

Hey beacher, although I don’t use osx, I do print, and in my experience the printing is controlled by the printer software. When you call upon the printer the HP control panel should appear and give you options, print 1,2,3,4,5 pages ..... fill in the number,....... one-side ....both-sides, ....... start on page ?..... color .....black and white..... paper size..... type... quality......... fast print ........ average..... better ........best, this and more should all be options on your HP control panel, or whatever software package you use with that printer, in either “print set-up” or “print” mode.

Every time I hear anyone query about HP and X, the responses always involve first checking the HP website to see if anything new is on the horizon (in the bag, might be a better metaphor).

We have two HP printers (LasedrJet and DeskJet) which are fine machines, but the sw HP provides is almost always behind the curve with respect to our favorite computer company. I'd check to see if you should have something new(er) on your whizbang machine/OS.

Have you reinstalled the driver you do have in Print Center?

Have you trashed your AppleWorks prefs?

SB Yep, all that comes up, but it always just gives 1 printed copy, but Dick hit the nail on the head; not sure whether it just took a reinstall, or whether it's using a new driver now, but it's now working again.

I don't know what the deal is with HP, but I've never seen anyone use an HP printer with OS X without problems. In fact, it's something of a standing joke in the tech community:

"I have an HP printer."
"Yes, okay, go on..."
"I'm having problems."
"Yes, you said that already."
