Here's something to add to Highmac's earlier post about Americans visiting the UK:
Pitfalls in Europe
I agree with all of these except Stonehenge. We had already been in London for several days and were on our way to Bath and Stratford-Upon-Avon, at the beginning of a two-week road trip. Stonehenge was right on the way, and I thought it was awesome.

How about we start a Sticky thread for travellers? We do get lots of advice here, but it is now spread all over various threads. Would it be better in future to keep it all in one place? I'm not for a moment suggesting archiving stuff already posted (!!!) - just from now on wink.gif
I have personal experience of just how helpful TeeEssers are when it comes to foreign travel, so I'd love to share it.

OK with me. Do you want to start one or rename this one and pin it?

I don't think we should start one. Let's just use the one that's up in the "Pinned" area. tease.gif
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

This is a family site. No pin-ups allowed. nono.gif
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.
