Quick question re: the G5
« on: October 21, 2008, 11:46:54 AM »
Just got a used G5, late '05 'edition'.  I purchased a second, larger SATA drive for it and want to put the Boot partition on that drive.

Question:  Does it matter which position/bay that drive is installed in?  In other words, do I need to move the smaller, stock drive down and put the new one in the upper bay?

PS:  don't ask me why I partition--I like my handbags to have lots of pockets, too...   yahoo.gif

Nope.

Upper or lower bay, and partition away.

Select any Boot partition [once you've installed a System on it] using Startup Disk...
