A late night search
« on: November 09, 2008, 01:57:33 PM »
I was here searching for the term "Newhart". Why, you ask? Well ... it had to do with a book, and I thought I might have posted here about it ... well ... I didn't find what I wanted, but I stumbled across this thread, and read some pretty funny stuff. You'll have to scroll down and read from post #10 on to the end. biggrin.gif

Great commentary on aging memories, Codfish, and where someone admits to the "awful truth of 'their' failing memories". laugh.gif

Their wise cracks sent me to Google, and that lead me to this little tidbit:

Bob Newhart and Don Rickles on the Leno show:

And of course, you'll want to watch the bit with Johnny Carson in its entirety:

There's plenty more stuff at this site, but don't blame me if it's weird.

Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Kimmer, thanks for the links, eventually found James Stewart reciting a dog named Beau, sheer professionalism, excellent.
George.

George - I just searched through 12 pages for James Stewart on that Daily Motion site but can't find the recitation you mentioned (most seem to be a stunt motorcyclist who shares the name). Can you give us a link, please? Other half is a great fan of Jimmy and I think she'd enjoy it. wink.gif
Thanks.

Thanks George - that link worked well.

Anyone who has ever owned a dog will almost certainly find that clip as moving as I did. Even the interviewer seemed to be wiping his eyes very subtly at the end too.
