INSTALLING A HUSBAND

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as
NBA 5.0,
NFL 3.0 and
Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?
Signed,
Desperate

DEAR DESPERATE,

First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme..html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.
If that application works as designed, Husband1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.
Please note that Beer 6. 1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)
In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend:
Cooking 3.0 and
Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck!

smile.gif   Hi Frances,

Thank you for posting, this is wonderful. I have downloaded this to keep and sent a copy to my sister, who would love this. laugh.gif

My husband us sat alongside me, I wish you could see his face . The expression is priceless Thinking.gif  He is very good in all respects and I suppose I am very fortunate really, but it "keeps them on their toes", so to speak.

P.S.  I wish wish.gif the Tech Team or whoever has set up this superb forum would add a few more Emoticons to the list, this would be very appreciated.

We are all probably TOGS, the British contingency, if truth be known because Radio 1 is for Chavs, Radio 3 for the intellectual, and Radio Bore (4) is just that!  I can only get Classic FM on the internet.  So yes, I am a TOG too!

And for the uninitiated - TOGS website

Posted before I saw the above...

If the "G" stands for "Guy?" smile.gif And you are your wife's second (at least) 'other.' ohmy.gif That would make you THE man! salute.gif clap.gif

Posted after I saw Franceses post...

OK, I'm sure there is a definition in all those "TOG" pages somewhere but I gotta go... And I'm probably wrong since she can't be a "TOG" by my definition... without a slight change of that last word, maybe drop the "uy" and replace it with "irl?" dntknw.gif salute.gif

Hi Frances, smile.gif

Yes Terry Wogan is an old Geezer, and those tuning into him are TOGS. I have on the odd occasion been drawn in by his Irish Blarney myself, he's a lovable old rogue salute.gif

                                                                           fireworks.gif

However if you have a Digital Radio check out Planet Rock,  you won't be bored or disappointed. It's superb and has something for all those that remember the  classic original Rock/Blues Bands, from the 60's 70's era through to the present day. The DJ's include Grumpy Old Man Rick Wakeman of "Yes", Ian Anderson of "Jethro Tull", "Fish" (Derek William Dick) from the band Marillion, and the wonderful Mr Alice Cooper. You will also hear Gary Moore of "Thin Lizzy", Tony Iommi of "Black Sabbath"  and the superb Joe Bonamassa (American Blues Guitarist). You will also find long standing DJ "Kid"(David) Jensen on this station. Then again you may be a fan of Country & Western, and if so, then I am sorry there is no hope for you  laughhard.gif

I can thoroughly recommend this station :-   Planet Rock - The UK's Number 1 Classic Rock Station   superman.gif  WOW.gif  cool.gif

Hi, fellow Britisher!

Sadly, I must be in the only place in the UK that can't get digital radio.

As Fred MacAulay on Radio Scotland said "Digital radio's only advantage is that you get a better class of interference!".

But I could probably listen to Planet Rock on the internet but that is not exactly portable.

We also have SIBC (Shetland Islands Broadcasting Co)- now that is a very odd - they have one "Now That's What I call a pile of Crap Volume 12,345" and play it over and over again with local ads in between that you can only laugh at!  Not dissimilar to that chap, Gregor Fisher, on HBC (Hebridean Broadcasting Co) in Naked Video.

Yes, yes I know - for all our US folk, I must be writing a foreign language!

Hi  hi.gif   Xairbusdriver smile.gif

Paddy sent you the link to Terry Wogan (BBC Radio 2 Presenter)
Please check out this link below, which links off the page posted by Paddy.

Togs is very much an acquired taste, and it does help if you are British/old and slightly eccentric.
