Uhmn...yeah, I doubt many (any?) would want to keep using a 25 year old computer, even if it is more reliable and usable than some newer ones.

So, where's the notes about what it introduced that weren't even heard of back then? How long did it take other computer makers to match the capabilities of that first Mac. What had the Mac become by then? What does it have now, that is still being copied? What has the 'competition' done to make a better experience? Starting to sound like a "fanboy" aren't I.

Maybe I should have read the whole article or looked for more links.

As it was, I don't understand what the point of the video was.

BTW, I had to reduce the security settings on PithHelmet and disable AdBlock in order to even play the Flash movie. And then I had to approve the connection in LittleSnitch... Oh well, those are choices I've made...

Oh, the only 'problem' was the security set up I had. My real problem was understanding what the video was trying to say. I'm not sure what good showing a 25 year old computer next to a new one does if the new one is not a direct descendent of the old one. Of course, the new one does have thousands of features and behaviors that are descendent of the 25 year old one, but that was never said, at least from my hearing. The only thing I could get from the video is that most people would rather use a new computer than a 25 year old one.

I know you Brits are keen on understatement, but...

But is is a good contrast to the kinds of statements that get people elected over here!

Talk about misleading - the clip compares the first 9" Mac with current Windows PC. What were they thinking?? I guess that is what one expects when someone is afraid to compare Windows machine with a current MacBook or MacBook Pro.

Yep...that is one of the dumbest bits of "journalism" I've seen in a long time.

I know...let's compare a PC from 25 years ago with a current Mac! Now THAT would be a lot more fun. DOS vs a GUI.

I'm sure dear Jane would have LOTS of fun with that...
