Great, now Google not only knows where you go online, they're potentially going to know where you are physically too. What's to stop them from mining that info too?

I think they already know. I've noticed the last few searches for products/services provided at least one 'provider' at the top of the right-hand list located in "Memphis." Thinking.gif Of course, that's not exactly the same thing. Maybe I should do a search while on my iPhone and away from the house...

Yeah - that would be by your IP number, though, Jim - not your physical location via GPS as you run errands etc.!!

If you want to be tracked via cell-phone the option is now available. They're selling as a child safety feature.
So, say you a rug-rat snatcher, will it dawn on you to check the little darling for a cell-phone?
Google won't be satisfied until they can have a google scope inserted into your head for free, all you have to do is to agree to accept ads pumped directly into your brain. coolio.gif

IS Apple working with Google?! <Snow Leopard to include CoreLocation framework previously available via the iPhone SDK> Now they'll know if you take the laptop into another room! eek2.gif Beware of what that room is and remember there is usually a camera on the thing!!! blush-anim-cl.gif
