TechTool 4 email
« on: May 22, 2003, 08:30:23 PM »
Received this email notification from Micromat just the other day.  Has anyone else registered for the upcoming release of TechTool 4?

"Thank you for registering your TechTool Pro 4 serial number for the free CD
upgrade. Micromat had expected to ship TechTool Pro 4 by the end of April 2003.
However, we have had to change the estimated release time to summer of 2003.

We apologize for this delay. We want to release the best program possible and it
is taking longer to implement all the proposed features than estimated. We
appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter and will keep you
notified of our progress."

Is TTP4 just for OSX? I run OS9.2.2 and have TTP3.0.7 and wonder if that's the last upgrade for OS9. ... I suppose I could find out on the Micromat web site.
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

You're way ahead of me if you received an email from Micromat. I ordered Tech Tool 4 as soon as they announced it but I haven't gotten squat from them so it's nice to know what the status is.  thanx.gif

I ordered TechTool 4 but I haven't heard from them.  I also ordered the new DiskWarrior (on April4) but have not yet received it.

I have not ordered TTP 4 as of yet, but think I might. As far as what I read on their site it is for OS X, but the latest update for TTP 3 is 3.09 which free on micromat's site.

Good to know.
Both they and the Disk Warrior people at Alsoft have taken their time, but I guess they were waiting for Jaguar?

And then not so long after these tools are released, it'll be Panther.
Never a dull moment, is there? huh.gif

Meanwhile ... Gregg (just in case), yup, TT Pro 4 will handle OS 9 too. The Micromat people, moreover, claim it'll run much faster than its predecessors since it takes advantage of multi-tasking.
But how far that really goes, we have yet to see.
