Interesting news today on InsideMacGames
« on: May 26, 2003, 01:47:45 PM »
Hi people,

I found it interesting reading today at Inside Mac Games, so i thought of just posting it here to.
1) A free first person shooter ready to download.
They say a minimum 500hz with 32VRam (16?) should do.
To heavy for me, or i would have tried it dry.gif
2) A first look at Star Trek Elite Force II and looking good for as far i followed it.
3) The first soundcard that supports surround sound II (and up to Dolby Digital with external amplefier/receiver).
Streetprice is just $89 but... it seems only to support Os9 (for so far?).

Elite Force II looks promising.

I loved the original game.
The only first-person shooter I know with a good story.

And the fact that it is still based on the Quake III Engine is good, since it finally is a new game that doesn't require a super-computer to run on.

thanx.gif for that one, Marcel.

Cube looks intriguing!
So does a lot of what developer Derek Arndt is doing...

I just Downloaded CUBE M_B. smile.gif

Took 40 minutes.

Kind of cute.

Like a DOOM or Quake. Good enough for free.

I didn't think Elite Force was great. Only good.

It doesn't begin to compare to Deus Ex for example.

Or about a dozen others. Just my opinion.

If others liked it more that's cool. smile.gif

The only thing i didn't liked on Elite Force was the ending, with that giant beast.
I had to cheat my way out of there, i can't believe people ever got through that  dry.gif

Enter the Matrix is great though biggrin.gif
