I have determined that MY Snow Leopard is coming from the same place that my CPU came from China.

Although my Apple account says that the software was shipped and will be delivered on the 1st of Sept, it has not arrived.
I am constantly receiving shipments from anywhere planet earth and most of the time the shipments arrive early.

It is so unusual that i did the unusual and call Apple to find out how I can track this illusionary package, but they ship without tracking #'s which I haven't seen in years. Must be a bargain on their part but it certainly is a pain in my ....ear.
Had I known that this was the situation i would have tried to use another method of delivery, but it was a one-click deal and must have missed something along the way. Not that I'm desperate to adjust more software, it's just not being able to re-schedule the event that i had already made time for that has me seeing this software traveling through the unpaved cart roads of China on the back of a mule. wink.gif

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

Now 9 days late the Chinese Snow Leopard is on a fast track....after calling Apple yesterday and being told that they will send it OverNight FedX. They blamed the US Postal Service and said that they usually give better service, but I have my reservations. I get packages steadily for many clients and myself and I haven't had one package lost by US mail.

I told Apple that it wasn't an issues of speed, i didn't need it, i just wanted it to be located. That they could take their time sending it as long as I can track it. But she insisted that overnight was the only option so it leaves China today and will be dropped by parachute by FedX tomorrow or the next day.

Could someone have stolen my first issue? Sure, but not here, the postman is greeted everyday or has a secure place to drop his packages. So if it was stolen it was in transit, which the P.O. is looking into as I write.

They told me that only an electronic notification went out, and that Apple may or many not have actually shipped the item.

Mine came today, but I didn't check the mail until I got in from church about 8:20 pm. Looks to be in good shape except for the shipping label. The label seems to be added to the original one. Can't get the new one off without destroying the original except for a few letters showing it was originally destined for some place around St. Petersburg, FL. Can even make out the whole Zip Code, just "377." Oh well, must be one that got returned early... dntknw.gif Thinking.gif deadhorse.gif

According to a postal inspector the package was most likely not shipped. The cost of USPS tracking # is 19ยข and the shipping departure address is MIDDLETOWN, PA, not China. A package sent from PA could arrive in Florida on the back of a Gator in 14 days. I also noticed the the software has a different ID code number.

the lost in space issue = MAC OS X10.6 SNOWLEOPARD UTD FULLFIL-INT (here kitty kitty) MC204Z/A Up-To-Date version
the replacement= MAC OS X 10.6 SNOW LEOPARD RETAIL-INT MC223Z/A Retail Box Single User

Delivery expected tomorrow....or so they say.
