Daryl, despite MY dislike of iWeb, mostly because it makes absolutely no sense for what I do (big sites for schools, business clients etc.) if you think it makes sense for you and you will be involved for a reasonable length of time, you will be able to create a gorgeous looking site very, very easily with no real need to understand the code.

Well iWeb and Mobileme have gotten pretty well acquainted over the past few days, and while I am waiting for "B" to gather up all of the info and make a decision relative to "transfer" I decided to give it a shot herefirst blush be my  at being a web master (HA)"Gorgeous" it probably AINT. yahoo.gif

Looks very nice to me....   Congratulations on your first try as a web master!!

On the "Services" page.... your green 'title' appears 'broken' in that the words don't flow and they drop down a line part way through....

Again, very nice.

use the Net and he won't bother you for weeks.

They aren't broken in FF, but are in Safari; and isn't it odd that the Apple stuff doesn't work? wink.gif

HHHMMMMMM Not broken in Opera either. When I first published it I did not have the  "text box" the correct size and it was broken, When I corrected it and republished it the "broken line" went away.  I will give it another try later.  Had enuff for one day.

Thanks

Nice job, Daryl! thumbup.gif You seemed to have gotten along quite well with iWeb and MobileMe! Not sure if my eyes are out of focus these days, but on the "contact us" page, does the line:  "Curriculum Vitae available upon request" appear to be off-center a bit?

Using FF--when I first went to that "Services" page, it appeared as Bob K described. However, within a second--or less--it snapped to the correct position. It seems to do that from time to time. Thinking.gif

Just one suggestion that Krissel made to me when I was working on my mural site. Regarding the two lines near the top of the "Welcome" page that are underlined--the "underline" may lead some people think it's a link to something. You may want to drop the underline. Just a thought.

Nice work!

A couple of IMacs, an iPad, a bunch of iPhones...two of which don’t live here, but I still pay for. Oh yeah, wife, daughters, and yes—a grandson!

Daryl...after taking a second look, I see the off center text that Rob mentions. The underlined text he mentioned on the Welcome page is also off center. A tip for centering text in iWeb is to place your cursor over the text and click and drag the text left or right to center and when you hit center a blue vertical line will appear. Release the mouse and your there. If you are centering both vertically and horizontally the blue lines appear on the X and Y axes.

Many thanks to all.  I have gone back thru each page and attempted to center things using the blue lines,( it never dawned on me that was what they were for) doh.gif , removed the underlines on the Welcome page, made the titles and headlines a single color. The broken line is a puzzle. It stays broken in Safari, Snaps to the correct position in FF, and Opera.  Any thoughts on that???
